Nicolas Cage
Born January 7, 1964 - Long Beach, California
This quiet, intense actor grew up in California surrounded by both literature and the arts. He studied theater at Beverly Hills High and tried his hand at acting at a very early age (changing his name from the famous Coppola to avoid favoritism), finally landing some recognition in the early 1980s with Rumble Fish and Valley Girl.
Never, it seems, in blockbuster hits, he nevertheless practices his craft in solid money-makers. He loves to improvise, collects comic books and suffers from vertigo.
