He graduated with a business degree and seemed to be settled outside of Hollywood, but a chance encounter with Richard Burton on a flight changed his life. He moved to Hollywood and began to work his way up the ladder to stardom.
He is best known for Field of Dreams, his Academy Award work in Dances with Wolves and The Untouchables.
