Angelina Jolie

Of Czechoslovakian, French and Native American heritage, 'Jolie' means 'pretty' in French, which is completely appropriate for her. The daughter of award-winning actor Jon Voigt, Angelina grew up in Los Angeles, majored in film at New York University, and worked as a professional model in London, New York, and Los Angeles. Along with her beauty, she is also known for her eclectic hobbies, including her knife collection and the number of tattoos on her body.

She performed her own stunts in the Tomb Raider movies, voted within the top 5 sexiest women alive in numerous magazines, and outside of film work she was appointed Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva, Switzerland after her visits to Sierra Leone, Tanzania and Pakistan. She is shown above with then-Secretary of State Colin Powell at the launch of World Refugee Day.
