Movie Help Web Popcorn Kernels:
This is it: for all you superhero fans, fans of comics, or just of sci-fi, this is the movie you've been waiting for. Combining an original story and unique characters, this non-stop zany actionfest piles on excitement and laughs in equal measure. And, wonder of wonders, it is clean enough for the whole family to enjoy!
The story begins with a man in a car, going to work. Suddenly there is a call over the radio: a top-speed chase through the streets of the city. It seems that this is no ordinary man, but Mr. Incredible, best of the crop of superheroes. In a long action sequence he not only stops the bad guys, but rescues a cat from a tree, saves a suicidal jumper, and captures a villain in the act of robbing a bank. He also fends off the enthusiastic but clinging attention of a young fanboy.
Then things go wrong. The suicidal jumper sues and many more citizens come out against the superheroes in a sad, funny, and unfortunately true-to-life display of our obsession with lawyers and lawsuits. The supers are forced to stop their heroic deeds and live "normal" lives. Mr. Incredible marries Elastic Girl, another superhero, has kids and settles down in a 9-5 job. He isn't happy, however, and does what he can to help people, in a low-key sort of way. And then he gets a call from a mysterious stranger who may have a job for Mr. Incredible...
That's all I'll say of the plot. But you can rest assured that all the supers will have things to do, including his whole family. There will be new villains to defeat and new places to see, all brought to life in Pixar's best. They did amazing work in Toy Story, and their technology has only grown more and more real, more and more lifelike. This is perhaps their best work to date. It has the feel of a comic, with bright colors, wonderful superhero powers, and exotic locations. Fortunately it is not just pretty colors: the plot, which must take up most of the slack, delivers. Sly, funny, and completely enjoyable, this movie is the best I've seen in a long time, and I can't recommend it more. Go and see it, please!
